A 24-year-old bicyclist had to be airlifted to a hospital after he collided with a trash can in Warren County on the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 15. The crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. at Hope Road in Liberty Township, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The cyclist sustained moderate injuries after crashing into the garbage can, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Antique Car Damaged in Sussex County Crash: Firefighters
An antique car suffered some scrapes in a car crash on Sunday, Oct. 13 in Sussex County. At 4:41 p.m., the Frankford Township Fire Department was dispatched to Route 206 and Broad Street for a car crash with injuries, firefighters said. Three people were evaluated for injuries and first responders dealt with a fuel spill from one of the vehicles, firefighters said. The injured people declined additional medical attention, firefighters said. “We were sad to see such a beautiful antique get damaged, but glad everyone was okay,” the Frankford Township Fire Department said.

Train Operator Dead, 23 Passengers Hurt In NJ Transit Crash With Tree
A train operator was killed and multiple others hurt after a tree fell on an NJ Transit train Monday morning, Oct. 14 in Burlington County. The incident happened around 6 a.m. on the River LINE train, which had been heading north from Trenton when it struck a tree south of the Roebling Station in Mansfield Township, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. Man's Leg Crushed By Commercial Chiller: Readington PD
A man was hospitalized after his leg was crushed by a commercial chiller in Readington on the late morning of Thursday, Oct. 10, authorities said. At 11:28 a.m., officers responded to a business on Route 202 and found a 52-year-old man bleeding uncontrollably after his leg was crushed by a commercial chiller, Readington police said. Officers applied a tourniquet to control bleeding and he was transported to a a nearby trauma center for treatment, police said.

At 4:54 p.m., a C-Force 600 all-terrain vehicle was traveling westbound on Danville Mountain Road in Liberty Township when it veered off the road to the left and overturned, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver was ejected and sustained serious injuries, Lebron said. He was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

Teen Football Player Airlifted After Losing Feeling In Legs In Sussex County, Police Say
A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital after he was injured playing football on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 21, in Sussex County authorities said. At 8:11 p.m., the boy was playing football at Station Park in Sparta Township when he temporarily lost feeling in his legs, Sparta Township Police Captain Thomas Snyder said. An Atlantic Air helicopter transported the boy to Morristown Medical Center, Snyder said.
