An Atco man will spend up to eight decades in prison for the repeated sexual assaults of his ex-girlfriend's two young daughters, authorities said. Kevin Mottas, 31, was sentenced on Friday, Dec. 13 to 80 years in state prison, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said in a news release. A man wanted for attempted murder in Camden County was arrested in central Florida, authorities said. Edwin Facenda Suriel, 46, was taken into custody in Haines City, FL, on Monday, Dec. 9, according to an arrest report from Florida Highway Patrol. Haines City is in Polk County, about an hour southwest of Orlando and roughly 90 minutes northeast of Tampa. One person was hospitalized in an early-morning crash in Camden County Wednesday, Sept. 25, firefighters said. The Lawnside Fire Department responded to the crash, along with Magnolia Fire Co. Squad 29, at approximately 5 a.m., the LFD said on Facebook. Photos show that the crash happened along Route 30, outside of the Lawnside Commons on Route 30 and involved a pickup truck and two other vehicles.
