Trio Pleads Guilty To Killing Teen During South Jersey Drug Deal, Prosecutors Say
Three men admitted to shooting a teen to death during a drug deal in Burlington Township more than three years ago, authorities said. Jayviyohn Earley of Willingboro, Tarik Jenkins of Pemberton Township, and Kayhree Simmons of Willingboro pleaded guilty on Tuesday, Oct. 29 to aggravated manslaughter, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said in a news release. NJ Transit Light Rail Driver, Four Passengers Injured In South Jersey Crash
Five people were injured when a New Jersey Transit light rail train crashed into a truck in Burlington Township, officials said. Four passengers and the train's operator suffered injuries on Friday, Oct. 11, a NJ Transit spokesperson said. The crash happened near Dulty’s Lane Crossing at around 6:10 a.m. All five injured people were expected to survive their injuries. There were 36 customers on board the train. Suspected Thief Wanted For Punching South Jersey Store Manager, Police Say
A man was wanted for assaulting a Burlington Township store's manager after stealing items, authorities said. Officers responded to a store on the 1100 block of Sunset Road at around 10:51 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, the Burlington Township Police Department said in a news release. A picture released of the suspect appeared to be inside a Dollar General. Investigators said the man tried to hide merchandise he was stealing and was confronted by the store manager. Driver, 83, Killed In 2-Car Crash In South Jersey: Police
An 83-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash in Burlington Township, authorities said Rose Zampino, of Burlington Township, was driving a Mitsubishi sedan north on Route 541 near Kelly Drive at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, when a southbound Volvo SUV struck her vehicle, Burlington Township police said.
