High Winds Wreak Havoc In NJ Leaving Roads Closed, Hundreds Without Power Wind gusts up to 50 mph were wreaking havoc across New Jersey on Friday, Aug. 9. Driver Hospitalized After Smashing Into Roadway Service Vehicle In Mercer County A 23-year-old driver was hospitalized after she crashed into an unoccupied roadway service vehicle along Route 29 in Mercer County, authorities said. Majanae Burke, of Bordentown, was driving northbound in a Honda Civic near milepost 0.7 in Hamilton at about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 28 when she veered off the highway and struck a guardrail before rear-ending the Ford F350 pickup, New Jersey State Police said. The woman suffered serious injuries.  No one else was hurt., State Police said.
