Officers responded to a home on Seawane Road around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, after a resident saw an unknown male inside his running vehicle, Nassau County police said. When confronted, the suspect fled in a white Hyundai driven by an unknown female. Assemblyman Paul Kanitra, R-Brick Township, said in a Facebook post that his car was taken from his mother-in-law's house in Hazlet just before 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
