Syed Hoque and his dog, Duca, were struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday, Nov. 30, in Absecon, authorities said. The crash occurred shortly after midnight at Highland Boulevard and Marlborough Avenue, where Duca was tragically killed. Dog Killed, 25-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured By Hit-Run Driver In Atlantic County: Police A man and his dog were struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday, Nov. 30, in Atlantic County, authorities said. The crash occurred shortly after midnight at the intersection of Highland Boulevard and Marlborough Avenue in Absecon, where the dog was killed. Man Fired Shots In South Jersey 'Motel Corridor', Police Say A Mays Landing man was accused of firing a gun in a South Jersey area with several motels.  Desmon Wilson, 23, was arrested on Friday, June 14, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to a report of fired shots on the Route 30 "motel corridor" just before 10:30 p.m. Police began searching for possible victims in the area. After reviewing surveillance video, Wilson was eventually identified as the suspect and taken into custody. Wilson was charged with several weapons offenses. Investigators said they've found no evidence of any shooting victims. …

Everette Williams, 52, was arrested on Thursday, May 16, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. He was facing charges in the deadly crash on Route 30 West on Saturday, Feb. 17.
