Man With 'Fierce Love' For Family, Motorcycles Died In Central Jersey Crash: Fundraiser
Authorities have identified the Freehold man who was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle in Howell Township. Aaron Aponte, 28, died from his injuries in the crash on Tuesday, July 9, a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said. It happened at the intersection of Fort Plains Road and Jerry’s Lane at around 4:53 p.m. Investigators said Aponte was riding a Honda GL 1100L motorcycle north on Fort Plains when he tried to go around a curve in the road. A 44-year-old hit-and-run driver had a toddler in the back of his car when he struck and killed a bicyclist in Salem County early this month, police said. Douglas W. Nutt, 62, of Upper Pittsgrove, died at the crash scene on Shirley Road after being struck by Deandra L. Brown Palmer, of Swedesboro, around 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, according to two affidavits of probable cause and New Jersey State Police. A vehicle veered off Interstate 295 in Burlington County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 12:45 p.m. on Friday, July 5 on the I-295 ramp from Exit 45 (Mount Holly Road/Rancocas Road) in Westampton Township, according to the NJDOT. Driver, 83, Killed In 2-Car Crash In South Jersey: Police
An 83-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash in Burlington Township, authorities said Rose Zampino, of Burlington Township, was driving a Mitsubishi sedan north on Route 541 near Kelly Drive at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, when a southbound Volvo SUV struck her vehicle, Burlington Township police said. Police ID 88-Year-Old Driver Killed In South Jersey Crash
Police have identified the woman killed in a three-car crash in Mount Laurel last week. Patricia Pierson, 88, of Mount Laurel died of her injuries several hours after the crash at the intersection of Elbo Lane and Amaryllis Boulevard, police said.
