Officers Injured By Belligerent Man At Apartment Complex In Camden County: Police
A 45-year-old man is facing charges after police say he injured two officers at a Camden County apartment complex last week. Police called to the Fairways Apartment Complex in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township on Monday, Aug. 19 for a disturbance inside an apartment when John R. Marchetti Jr. opened the door of the home and began yelling at officers to leave, police said in a news release. Nicolette Marchetti was reported missing on Saturday, Aug. 17 from her residence in Sicklerville, according to Gloucester Township police. A 71-year-old man from Camden County was killed in a two-car collision in Upstate NY, authorities said. Timothy B. Willson, of Collingswood, died in the crash on Interstate 81 in Marathon, NY, at about 1:10 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, according to New York State Police. A preliminary investigation found that Mohammed Sanzid Bin Rashid, 26, of Bronx, NY, was traveling north on Interstate 81 in a Honda SUV. A 25-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash on Interstate 76 Friday night, Aug. 16 was a brand-new dad, loved ones say. Officers were called to Penbryn Wildlife Management area for two missing swimmers around 2:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, Winslow Township Police Chief Donald Lemons said. A crash with serious injuries closed all lanes of Interstate 295 in Camden County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 on the southbound ramp to Exit 26S in Bellmawr, according to NJDOT. Based on a preliminary investigation, a Honda was traveling southbound on I-295. In the area of milepost 27.3, the Honda ran off the roadway, impacted the concrete barrier, and overturned, New Jersey State Police said.
