NJ Gov. Phil Murphy announced the final round of clemency actions of his administration on Tuesday, Jan. 20, his final day in office, granting 148 pardons and commutations to people convicted of a wide range of crimes across the state.
The clemency actions included 97 pardons and 51 commutations, bringing the total number of clemency grants during Murphy’s tenure to 455, the governor’s office said.

The US State Department has issued updated travel guidance for one of America’s closest neighbors, citing a mix of safety risks for visitors.
