Four people from Ocean County were indicted for dismembering the body of a Toms River killed in his home, authorities said. A grand jury indicted 29-year-old Elizabeth Mascarelli of Seaside Heights on Thursday, Oct. 24 for murder, conspiracy to commit murder, hindering apprehension, desecration of human remains, and eight weapons charges, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run crash that killed a popular Newark man. Ahmed Bouda, 29 has been charged after authorities said he struck and killed Corey Claybrook around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14 on the 600 block of Springfield Avenue then fled the scene, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. A group of ski-masked men including one homicide suspect are in police custody after officers stopped them and found 25 stolen checks in the vehicle early Friday, Oct. 4 in Morris County, police said. A Florham Park officer stopped the car for traffic violations and noticed all occupants were wearing ski masks and dressed in all black, Florham Park Police Chief Joseph Orlando said. A Toms River woman will spend at least eight years in prison after admitting to her role in the death of her roommate, a former Manchester High School janitor, authorities said.
