Wanted Man Who Used Counterfeit Cash At Bergen County Business Found With Heroin: Cops A 49-year-old Central Jersey man is facing charges in Bergen County for using counterfeit money at the same business multiple times, said authorities who say they also found him with heroin. Shawn Beeks, of Carteret, passed a counterfeit  $100 bill at a business located in the 500 block of New York Avenue, Lyndhurst Police Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said. Anaji Ryan, of Carteret, was driving a Ford Focus which collided with a Dodge Durango and Subaru Outback on the Raymond Boulevard Bridge in the city’s Ironbound section around 4 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. NJ Man Posing As Walmart Worker Scams NY Woman, 69, Out Of $20K: Police A phone call claiming to protect a Long Island resident's savings ended in a $20,000 scam carried out by a 51-year-old New Jersey man, according to authorities. The victim, a 69-year-old New Hyde Park woman, received the call from Tejas Kapur, of Carteret, who falsely identified himself as a Walmart employee, according to Nassau County Police. Kapur told the victim that there was fraudulent activity on her account and that her Social Security number was compromised, authorities said.
