PD: Woman Who Led Police Pursuits In Stolen Oil Tanker Found 80 Miles Away At Wildwood Wawa
A Camden County woman led police on multiple pursuits in a stolen oil tanker truck before being arrested at a Wawa store, nearly 80 miles from where she found the truck, police said. Wildwood police responding to an erratic driver on the 400 block of Rio Grande Avenue around 8:30 p.m. July 24, authorities said. 1 Airlifted In Wildwood Boat Fire
One person was airlifted in serious condition in a Wildwood boat fire Saturday. Arriving firefighters were flagged down to help a burn victim who was brought to a nearby business as flames ravaged the 40-foot pleasure vessel docked in the 400 block of Dock Street around 10:30 a.m., fire officials said. A popular Wildwood bar will not be serving alcohol this summer over repeated violations of COVID-19 restrictions, state officials said. Shamrock Beef and Ale (Shamrock), on Pacific Avenue, agreed to stop serving alcohol between May 1 and Sept. 30 under a settlement between the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) and Tommy G’s Shamrock, LLC (Tommy G’s) -- the bar's holding company, Attorney General Gurbir S. Boy, 6, Drowns In Wildwood Hotel Pool
A 6-year-old boy drowned in a Wildwood hotel pool over the Fourth of July weekend. Police responded to Beachside Resort on Atlantic Avenue for a possible drowning with CPR in progress around 6:30 p.m. July 3, the Wildwood police and fire departments said in a joint police. A total of 13 police departments and other local law enforcement agencies in New Jersey will get $15.8 million in federal funding to hire 114 additional officers, U.S. Attorney General William Barr announced Tuesday. The Federal Community Oriented Policing (COPS) grants had been suspended since 2018 because of a nationwide injunction that was lifted earlier this year. Former Would-Be Bank Robber Busted With Heroin After Leading Police On North Jersey Pursuit
A Warren County man once accused of trying to rob a Wildwood bank was found with heroin and other drug paraphernalia after leading police on a pursuit across Warren and Hunterdon counties, authorities said. Police observed a vehicle being driven by Brandon Ivens, 32, of Port Murray on Route 46 in Hackettstown on Saturday, May 30 around 1:20 p.m., authorities said in a release. Ivens had an active no-bail warrant out of Mansfield Township and a wanted person warrant from the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office for a fraud offense.
