'Helene Unravels:' Rainy Days Ahead For Some Eastern States After Hurricane
With rescue efforts from Hurricane Helene underway in southern states, showers are expected in northeastern states early this week, forecasters are saying.
The storm made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane last Thursday and left hundreds stranded by flooding and at least 95 people dead in Virginia, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, multiple news outlets report.
According to AccuWeather, Helene is expected to "unravel" over some mid-Atlantic and Northeastern states, bringing localized downpours, showers, and clouds through the end of the month.

Tori Yorgey can't be stopped.
The Montgomery County, PA native was on live television when she was struck by an SUV at the scene of a water main break in West Virginia Wednesday.
“Oh my God! I just got hit by a car, but I’m okay," she told WSAZ-TV anchor Tim Irr. “Well, that’s a first for you on TV, Tori,” Irr replied.
Yorgey, 25, was praised for her resilience on Twitter, where the clip had garnered millions of views.

Ex-Amtrak Worker From NJ Admits Stealing, Selling Agency Equipment
UPDATE: For more than eight years, a now-former Amtrak employee from the Jersey Shore collected chainsaws and chainsaw parts from the agency, then sold them and kept the money.
Federal authorities eventually caught on to Jose Rodriguez, 49, of Brick, then got a conviction for mail fraud.
Hired in October 2007, Rodriguez worked as a senior engineer and repairman at Amtrak's North Brunswick facility, authorities said.
Five years later, Rodriguez admitted in federal court, he began gathering equipment under the false pretense that they'd be used for company projects.

Cupcakes Recalled Due To Possible Metal Mesh Wire Contamination
A company is recalling packs of cupcakes because they might be contaminated with tiny fragments of metal mesh wire.
Flowers Foods, Inc. announced on Sunday, Oct. 31, that it is recalling the Tastykake multi-pack cupcakes after receiving notification from a vendor that they could be contaminated.
The recalled products were distributed in New York, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC and West Virginia, the company said.
No injuries have been linked to the recalled products, Flowers Foods said.

Covid-19: Six States Removed From NY/NJ/CT Quarantine List, Puerto Rico Added
Travelers from six states have been removed from the COVID-19 joint quarantine list of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
California, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, and Ohio were removed from the Travel Advisory List on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Puerto Rico was added to the list.
The quarantine applies to any person arriving from a state with a positive test rate higher than 10 per 100,000 residents over a seven-day rolling average or a state with a 10 percent or higher positivity rate over a seven-day rolling average.
