'So Unfair': Shock, Anger Spread After NJ Man Is Killed By Driver In Apple Store Crash
Shock, grief and anger continued to spread with the news that a construction worker who died when a driver crashed his SUV into an Apple store in a Boston suburb was from Passaic County, NJ.
Kevin Bradley, 65, of Wayne was apparently moving a barrier outside the store with co-worker Vince Ruotolo of Maywood when Ruotolo said his pal’s life “was cut short” on Monday, Nov. 21.
“Life is so unfair,” Ruotolo wrote, noting that Bradley had a wife, children and grandchildren.

Beloved Wayne native Louis R. Tor died in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Friday, Nov. 4. He was 39.
Born in Pompton Plains, Louis was raised in Wayne before graduating from Wayne Valley High School in 2001, his obituary and social media pages say.
Louis later moved to Myrtle Beach, SC, with his wife, Danielle, in 2015, according to his memorial.

A con artist impersonating a DMV employee took dozens of unsuspecting customers for a ride, fleecing them out of tens of thousands of dollars, before Lodi police put the brakes on the heartless scheme, authorities said.
Mohammad A. Aburomi, 61, actually had his victims meet him at the agency's offices in Lodi and Wayne, where he promised to help them cut the line for payments of $1,500 to $2,000 each, investigators found.

Three Mega Millions tickets good for $10,000 a piece were sold in Bergen and Passaic counties.
The tickets from the Friday, Sept. 16 drawing matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn which were: 15, 30, 35, 38, and 66. The Gold Mega Ball was 12, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.

Dual Threat: Wayne Twins Sexually Harass Same Woman, Tangle With Police, Authorities Report
Twin brothers from Wayne sexually harassed a local mom repeatedly, then tangled with police who arrested them both, authorities said.
The woman told police that she was walking in her neighborhood with her young child on Aug. 29 when Ryan Kayal, 33, rode up on a bicycle and “threatened to force himself on her sexually,” Detective Capt. Dan Daly said.
Kayal was “evasive and uncooperative,” then walked away and refused to stop when they found him on the bicycle a short time later, the captain said.
