‘Very Proud Veteran:’ Army Cavalry Scout, Phillipsburg Father Of 4 John Hardcastle Dies, 40
Army cavalry scout and beloved Phillipsburg father of 4 John W. Hardcastle died at his home on August 1. He was 40.
Born in Mission Hills, CA, Hardcastle served as a cavalry scout with the US Army in Afghanistan, his obituary says.
Hardcastle was also a member of the YMIA, the Bernadine-May American Legion Post, and St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, according to his memorial.
Hardcastle loved the New York Giants football team and is remembered as a “very proud veteran.”

Wife Accidentally Drives Over Husband After Deadly Motorcycle Crash, PA State Police Say
A 37-year-old man has died in a motorcycle crash, according to Pennsylvania State police.
Todd Addison Jr., of Duncannon, died in a crash involving an SUV in Dickinson Township, Cumberland County on Saturday at 11:38 a.m.
Addison, driving a Victory motorcycle, and his wife, Suzette Addison, who was driving a Yamaha motorcycle, were traveling southbound along Carlisle Road towards Pine Grove road just before the crash.
A Kia Soul SUV, driven by Victoria Jesswein, failed to yield while turning left off of Pine Grove Road.
Jesswein struck Addison-- pinning him underneath her vehicle.
