Tree Trimmer From Norwood Airlifted After Falling Nearly 15 Feet In Old Tappan
A 61-year-old Norwood man fell nearly 15 feet from a ladder while helping an Old Tappan homeowner remove a tree, authorities said. Authorities were trying to determine whether he and another man had permission to be on the property before the mishap on Dewolf Road around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 26. The victim fell 12 to 15 feet while trying to cut off a portion of the tree, Old Tappan Police Chief Joseph Tracy said. An East Hanover roadway was shut down following a crane accident Wednesday afternoon, police said. The crane flipped up in the air during a tree removal on South Ridgedale and Tiffany Drive around 2 p.m., according to initial reports.
