Driver With Warrant Flees After Lehigh Valley Crash: Slate Belt Police
A driver with an active New Jersey warrant fled from police after getting into a crash in the Lehigh Valley, authorities said.
Brandon R. Russ, 38, was involved in a multi-vehicle crash near 56 N. Lehigh Avenue in Wind Gap around 3:40 a.m. on Sunday, July 10, Slate Belt Regional Police said in a release on Monday, July 25.
As officers were on their way to the crash scene, Russ drove off, police said.
A follow-up investigation found that Russ had an active warrant out of New Jersey.

Update: Teen, Adult Charged In Lehigh Valley Shooting
One man was injured in a Lehigh Valley shooting Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
A man was shot in the leg on the 700 block of South 8th St. in Allentown around 2:30 p.m., Police Captain John Hill said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injuries, Hill said.
The suspect vehicle, meanwhile, was quickly tracked down near N. 11th St. and W. Chew St., and its occupants -- Jahiem Valentine, 17, of Allentown, and Jahiem Smalley, 18, of Orlando, FL -- were placed under arrest.

A New Jersey woman is facing 12 to 24 years behind bars for driving drunk into oncoming traffic on Interstate 95 in Pennsylvania leaving three people dead, authorities said.
Priscilla Cortez, 34, of Camden, was heading southbound on the highway when she struck a car carrying Ryan Connell, 28, Leanne Popson, 35, both of the Levittown area, and Lucas Gelatko, 36, of Yardley, near mile marker 33 around 1:40 a.m. April 1, 2020, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.
All three victims in the Bensalem crash had children, authorities said.
