A dump truck carrying dirt overturned and shut down Route 202 in Hunterdon County Monday afternoon, July 31, authorities said. The truck overturned on the southbound side near River Road in Raritan Township around 12:30 p.m., the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad said. Responders found the truck overturned in the left turn lane. The load of soil it was carrying had been dumped into the northbound lanes alongside a large diesel leak. 24-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed, Minivan Driver Airlifted In Rt. 202 Crash: Police
A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a Route 202 crash that sent a minivan driver to the hospital in a medical helicopter during the afternoon on Wednesday, July 19, police confirmed. The Raritan Township man collided with the minivan on the southbound side near the intersection with Holland Brook Road in Branchburg Township around 3:35 p.m., Somerset County Prosecutor John P. Serious Pedestrian Crash Changes Traffic Patterns In Parsippany: Police
A serious crash involving a pedestrian created several traffic changes in Parsippany during the investigation that followed on Sunday, Oct. 9, authorities said. The crash caused a Rt. 10 West closure at Rt. 202/Littleton Rd., cutting off northbound traffic to the intersection from Morris Plains near the Stop and Shop area, Parsippany Police said in a 9:20 a.m. update. Jack-Knifed Tractor-Trailer Jumps Median On Route 80
A tractor-tractor jackknifed and jumped the median on Route 80 in Paterson overnight Saturday. The mishap left the trailer on on side of the highway and part of the rig on the other part near westbound Exit 58 around midnight. Two lanes were temporarily closed on the eastbound side and one on the westbound. An ambulance took the driver to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening. Firefighters summoned a hazardous materials unit to tend to a fuel spill.

Tipped Rig Dumps Load Of Mulch Near Bergen-Rockland Border
A dump truck spilled a load of mulch Monday afternoon near the Bergen-Rockland border, toppling a utility pole, yanking down power lines and spilling fuel. Brookside Auto & Towing sent a heavy-duty wrecker to Rockleigh to right the rig after the Piermont Road mishap. New Milford sent its Hazardous Materials Unit to handle the fuel spill. The driver appeared unharmed.
