Philly Woman, Jersey City Man Dead In Horrific Garden State Parkway Rollover Crash
A Philadelphia driver and a Jersey City man in one of the four cars she hit after overturning into oncoming traffic Wednesday night on the Garden State Parkway were killed, New Jersey State Police said.
Sandra Vanderslice, 57, was heading southbound when she lost control of her GMC Suburban, ran off the left side of the road, struck the concrete barrier and overturned near Exit 155 in Clifton around 8:25 p.m., Sgt. Lawrence Peele said.
The GMC then crossed into the northbound lanes, hitting a Cadillac XT-4, a Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Volkswagen Passat, Peele said.

Police: DWI Jersey City Man Busted Swerving, Speeding On Route 46
A 42-year-old man was drunk when he sped and swerved along Route 46 in Morris County, authorities said.
George Thomas, 42, was driving a Toyota Camry erratically, swerving and speeding on Route 46 in Budd Lake when he was pulled over just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Mt. Olive Township police said.
During questioning, Thomas showed clear signs of intoxication and subsequently failed a series of field sobriety tests, authorities said.
Thomas, of Jersey City, was arrested and charged with DWI, speeding, unlicensed, driving while suspended and reckless driving.

Police: DUI Sussex County Woman, 31, Injured After Hitting Utility Pole, Parking Meters
A Sussex County woman was driving under the influence when she crashed into a utility pole and two parking meters damaging them -- and injuring her head, neck and back, authorities said.
Marisa Izquierdo, 31, was driving a 1995 Toyota Camry westbound in Newton when she hit the pole and the meters in front of 33 Trinity St. just after 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Izquierdo, of Newton, injured her head, neck and back during the crash, which deployed the vehicle’s airbag, authorities said.
