A 19-year-old hockey player from Bergen County was killed after his car caught fire on Route 80 in Warren County on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 1, authorities said. At 8:21 p.m., a Hyundai SUV driven by Carmine Argenziano was traveling westbound on Route 80 in Hope Township when it veered off the right side of the roadway, hit multiple trees and then caught fire, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A woman had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital after a crash on Route 80, the early morning of Monday, Oct. 28, state police said. At 2:56 a.m., a Madza SUV was traveling westbound on Route 80 in Rockaway Township when it entered the right shoulder and crashed into the back of an unoccupied truck, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver, a 28-year-old Kenvil woman, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after plunging out of a moving vehicle along the New Jersey Turnpike, police said.
