An 18-year-old Franklin Borough man was arrested and charged after he brandished an imitation firearm during a road rage incident on Friday, Aug. 16, authorities said. David Daneri fled the scene after officers responded to the road rage incident, and with assistance from multiple departments was located minutes later, still in possession of the imitation firearm, Franklin Borough Police said. Man Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Stop: Franklin Borough Police
A 41-year-old Branchville resident was arrested on Saturday, July 6, after he fled a traffic stop in Franklin Borough, authorities said. While officers were initially approaching his vehicle, Shaun Cancelliere drove away and managed to elude law enforcement, Franklin Borough police said in a release. Nearby agencies were notified to be on the lookout for Cancelliere and he was located by the Andover Township Police Department, officers said. A PA man was intoxicated when he was found with a box of hollow-point bullets at a gas station on Route 206, police said. Police responding to a report of an erratic driver on Route 206 found Ronald E. Whitaker slumped over the steering wheel at the Shell gas station in Stanhope on Oct. 30, Byram Township police said in a Wednesday release. Whitaker, of New Milford, PA, was awoken by officers who felt that he was intoxicated. Whitaker subsequently failed a series of field sobriety tests, authorities said. A Sussex County woman who once "karate kicked" a police officer was arrested for doing the same thing again to a pair of officers and an EMT Monday, authorities said. Officers responding to reports of a vehicle driving erratically with two flat tires on County Route 631found Sheila A. Celentano, 44, who had abandoned her vehicle and was running down Newton Street barefoot, Franklin Borough police said. Man Who Stole Nearly $500 In Clothing, Merchandise From Walmart Nabbed In Franklin
Police arrested man who they say stole nearly $500 of merchandise from a Sussex County Walmart. Gerred Littles-Santiago, 30, of Unionville was caught on surveillance video stealing clothing, multiple cases of Red Bull and other merchandise totaling nearly $500 from Walmart in Franklin, local police said. The thefts occurred on Sept. 22 and Jan. 3, police say. Littles-Santiago was previously charged with DWI and petty larceny in Orange County, N.Y., records show.
