Power Restored To 3K People in Hopatcong Borough: Jersey Central Power And Light The strong winds caused more than 3,000 customers in Hopatcong Borough to be without power on Tuesday, Jan. 28, authorities said. Jersey Central Power and Light said 3,124 customers, 46% of its customer base, lost power. The power has since been restored, according to the Jersey Central Power and Light website. Nearly 4,000 customers were without power throughout the Garden State, Jersey Central Power and Light said. Tree Blown Into Hunterdon County Garage With Homeowner Inside: Firefighters A Lambertville homeowner received quite the scare when a large tree crushed his garage while he was inside of it on Monday, March 11, authorities said. City of Lambertville Fire District #1 Strong winds were to blame for the tree blowing over at 3:08 p.m., the City of Lambertville Fire District #1 said on Facebook.  No injuries were reported, firefighters said and the scene was eventually cleared.
