Two detectives who witnessed a street drug deal in Paterson seized a loaded semi-automatic handgun, along with 169 heroin folds, a combined 88 bags and vials of crack and 112 Xanax pills, while arresting two city residents. Three Guns Seized In Separate Incidents Saturday Night In Paterson
Paterson detectives found two men and a 16-year-old boy each carrying semi-automatic handguns barely a few hours apart, authorities said Sunday. Street Crime Unit Detectives William Hermann and Anthony Castronova stopped a speeding SUV on Lafayette Street around 7:30 p.m. Saturday after it blew past a stop sign and other traffic-control devices, Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said. Paterson Traffic Stop Turns Up Gun Reported Stolen Out Of Atlanta, City Police Say
Paterson police on the lookout for a suspicious car found a loaded gun reported stolen out of Georgia during a subsequent traffic stop. Street Crime Unit Detectives James Jenkins and Rene Alicea had an eye out for the Honda sedan in connection with an earlier incident Saturday in the Totowa section of town, Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said.
