Boy, 8, Drowns In Morris County Creek
An 8-year-old boy has died after his body was found in a Morris County creek Wednesday, July 12, authorities confirmed. The child was found face down in the creek, in the Flanders section of Roxbury, around 3:35 p.m., Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said. Roxbury police officers and paramedics' attempts to resuscitate the child but were unsuccessful. He was taken to St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover, where he was pronounced dead. Motorcyclist Hospitalized In Morris County Crash, Police Say
A motorcyclist was hospitalized following a Tuesday morning crash in Morris County, authorities said. The crash occurred near 605 Route 15 in Jefferson just before 6:10 a.m., according to initial reports. The motorcyclist lost control and fell off the vehicle, suffering minor injuries, Jefferson Police Capt. Robert Bush told Daily Voice. The victim was taken to St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover, Bush said.

64-Year-Old Woman Struck, Killed Crossing Jefferson Street
A 64-year-old woman was struck and killed while crossing Route 15 in Jefferson on Saturday, police said. Anne Belcastro of Lake Hopatcong got out of the passenger seat of a car at the intersection of Berkshire Valley Road and began walking west across the highway around 5:30 p.m. when she was struck, Sgt. Joseph Kratzel said. The 47-year-old Andover driver had a green light, Kratzel added. Belcastro was taken to St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, where the sergeant said she was pronounced dead. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office and Jefferson police were investigating.
