A Morris County fire that was doused before emergency crews arrived left two victims with serious burns, requiring both of them to be rushed to the hospital — one of them via medical helicopter, authorities said. The Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department responded with several local crews to 52 Averill Drive in Morris Plains just after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday for a reported kitchen fire. Both drivers were hospitalized following a Monday night crash involving a commercial paver in Morris County, authorities said. The crash occurred near 5208 Berkshire Valley Road in Jefferson Township around 5:10 p.m. Monday, initial reports said. Sussex County Man, 42, Airlifted In Head-On Crash With Tractor-Trailer On Route 206
A 42-year-old Sussex County man was airlifted with serious injuries after crashing head-on into a tractor-trailer on Route 206 Wednesday afternoon, police confirmed. Christopher A. Morales, of Newton, was driving southbound on Route 206 in a 2008 Jeep Patriot when he veered into the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into a 2013 Peterbilt tractor-trailer near the intersection of Brighton Road around 3:50 p.m., Andover Township police said.
