An off-duty nurse helped save the life of a 69-year-old bicyclist who was knocked unconscious in a fall at a Bergen County park, authorities said. Jacqueline Polentarutti was conducting CPR when Glen Rock and Paramus police and Bergen County sheriff's officers arrived at the bike path in Saddle River County Park near the Paramus border last Wednesday, Aug. 2. Falling Tree Branch Clips Bergen County Park-Goer
A man escaped serious injury when he was grazed by a falling tree branch in the Glen Rock section of Saddle River County Park. Members of the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps brought the man to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood as a precautionary measure after he'd been struck on the arm and head shortly after 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Elmwood Park Woman Charged, Boyfriend Hospitalized With Knife Wound In Saddle Brook Incident
UPDATE: An Elmwood Park woman was jailed Friday after injuring her boyfriend with a pocket knife during an incident at friend's house in Saddle Brook, police said. Leonor O'Hara, 23, was charged with aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and weapons possession following the 7 a.m. incident at a home on Saddle River Road near Saddle River County Park, Police Chief Robert Kugler said.
