Driver Injured After Car Crashes Into Tree, Bursts Into Flames On Route 80: Njsp A driver was injured on Route 80 in Morris County after they crashed into a tree on the evening of Thursday, Feb. 22, authorities said. At 9:35 p.m., a driver lost control of his Chevy SUV while traveling on Route 80 westbound in Roxbury Township, Troy McNair of the New Jersey State Police said. The car ran off the roadway and collided with a tree, McNair said. As a result of the crash, the vehicle became fully engulfed in flames, McNair said. The driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to an area hospital, McNair said. The crash remains under investigation, McNair said.

Driver, 34, Found Dead In Tractor-Trailer Parked On Rt. 80 Shoulder: State Police A 34-year-old driver was found dead in a tractor-trailer parked on the side of Route 80 in Morris County Sunday afternoon, August 20, state police said. Jonathan Vistren-Jaquez, of Mexico, was found in the vehicle on the westbound side near milepost 40.5 in Denville around 2 p.m., NJSP Det. I Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice. Vistren-Jaquez was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is under investigation but is not considered suspicious, Lebron added. No further details were released.

Angelo F. Atienza was heading west in the eastbound lanes in a Toyota Rav4 when he drove head-on into an International tractor and semi-trailer around 4 a.m., Saturday, May 14, New Jersey State Police said. The crash occurred near milepost 46.2 in Parsippany, police said. The man's identification has not been made public. Atienza, of Lake Hiawatha, works as a nurse at Llanfair House, according to LinkedIn.

6-Year-Old Dies In Route 80 Crash A 6-year-old boy died in a crash on Route 80 in Morris County Thursday night, authorities said. A 2012 Chevrolet Equinox heading east was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene near milepost 28.5 in Roxbury, New Jersey State Police said. The Chevy struck a Honda HRV on impact, which by a Nissan Altima. the Chevy was then struck by a Honda Passport, police said. The boy who died was riding in the Honda HRV.
