Sears Closing Livingston, New Brunswick Stores Liquidation sales are planned for a pair of Sears stores closing soon. The Sears stores at the Livingston Mall and on Route 1 in New Brunswick are expected to close mid-April, a company spokesperson said. "After careful review, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close the Sears stores in Livingston and New Brunswick," the spokesperson said in a statement.  "We encourage customers to continue shopping on Sears.com for all their product needs."

Pier 1 Imports To Close Trio Of North Jersey Stores Pier 1 imports will be closing three of its North Jersey stores. The Paramus (Route 4 East), Edgewater and East Hanover stores are among the 450 locations nationwide to shutter. The Paramus location is expected to close in late February, NJ.com reports, although its Route 17 store in Paramus will remain open.  It is unclear when the other two stores will shutter. Merchandise is listed at between 20 and 40 percent off.
