A 45-year-old Raritan Township woman was arrested and charged with murder after stabbing a 66-year-old man dead on Wednesday, Feb. 21, authorities said. At 1:40 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Manchester Road and found Steven Spivey dead and having suffered a stab wound, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée Robeson and Raritan Township Police Chief Alfred Payne said. Emergency crews in Hunterdon County put their hydraulic tools to the test to free a trapped driver following a collision with a garbage truck on Route 31 during the late morning hours on Tuesday, June 27. The two-vehicle crash occurred near the Sonic Drive-In in Raritan Township shortly after 11:45 a.m., the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad said. Police in Hunterdon County are searching for clues after four suspects were caught on surveillance footage attempting to steal an ATM from the drive-thru lane of a Chase Bank using a stolen pickup truck early Monday morning. Officers responding to the attempted theft at Chase Bank at 318 Rt. 31 in Flemington found an unoccupied pickup truck next to the machine in the drive-thru lane shortly before 2:30 a.m., Raritan Township police said.
