Police Interceptor Car Stolen From Lehigh Valley Auto Shop: Slate Belt PD
A police interceptor car was stolen from a Lehigh Valley area auto shop Wednesday night, authorities said. The car — pictured above — was stolen from Kim Cesare's Auto Sales in Pen Argyl around 9:15 p.m., Slate Belt Regional Police said. The car has a black pushbar (front bumper) and police spotlight and was last seen traveling northbound on Route 512 toward Bangor, police said. Idling Trenton Patrol Cruiser Stolen, Totaled During High-Speed Pursuit, Police Say
A 30-year-old woman from Morris County allegedly stole an idling Trenton police cruiser, authorities said. Cherrelle Cooper of Morris Plains then was chased by law through Hopewell Township before being taken into custody. Trenton police said. At 5:41 p.m. Saturday, Cooper is accused of stealing an idle police cruiser parked on East State Street, police said. She then fled down Route 29 from to Hopewell Township, they said. Video Released Of Jersey Shore Man Shot Dead After Stealing Police Car
Video released Tuesday shows the final moments after a Wildwood Crest man stole a police car, got out and ran at pursuing officers before one of them shot him earlier this month. Roy K. Jackel, 41, was “holding his arm behind his back and ignoring their commands to show his hands” when Franklin Township Police Sgt. David Jernegen finally shot him in Buena Vista on April 5, state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal said. Officers provided medical aid until EMS arrived and pronounced Jackel dead, Grewal said.
