Truck Goes Up In Flames On Route 80 (

Fire crews in Morris County were quick to douse a truck that went up in flames on Route 80 Thursday morning, authorities said. The fire broke out in the eastbound lanes by Smith Road in Parsippany around 7:10 a.m., the Parsippany Troy-Hills Fire Department said. Photos from the scene show a UniFirst uniform rental company truck billowing with flames and smoking heavily. 4/21/22 07:11 District 6 was requested to RT 80 East by Smith Rd for the active vehicle fire. Teen, Sibling Escape Parsippany House Fire
A teenager and a a younger sibling called 911 after a fire broke out at their Parsippany home, ultimately displacing the family, authorities said. The two were on the second floor of the Allentown Road home when they smelled smoke just before fire alarms went off around 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Parsippany police said. The pair was able to get out uninjured as heavy smoke billowed from the kitchen window, authorities said. The children told officers their cat may still be inside. Unknown Substance Leaks Bring HazMat Response To Boonton Chemical Plant
A hazardous materials team responded to a Boonton chemical plant Wednesday morning after three drums were found to be leaking an unknown substance during a scheduled fire inspection, authorities said. Substance samples from a pair of unlabeled 55-gallon drums and a third marked as flammable, at Adron Inc. on Fanny Road, indicated no direct hazard to the public, Parsippany Police Sgt.
