Known Megan's Law Offender Attempts Child Kidnapping At PA Walmart, Police Say
Police are seeking clues on a known Megan’s Law offender who allegedly attempted to abduct a child at a PA Walmart. The man pictured above was seen pulling on a toddler in an attempt to remove them from a shopping cart while the parents were shopping at the Nazareth Pike store in Bethlehem Square Mall on Saturday, Oct. 15, township police said in a press release. The toddler cried to their parents, prompting the man to flee, according to police. A high school principal from Pennsylvania was arrested on accusations he had a years-long sexual relationship with a student who viewed him as "an older brother," police said. Roger Freed, principal of the Williamsport Area High School, began a relationship with the then-middle school student in 2015, which turned sexual two years later, the NY Post reports. Police are searching for a couple who fled a restaurant after a firearm discharged into a restaurant booth they were sitting at in Lehigh County. The male was sitting in a booth with a female when the firearm was discharged, traveling through the seat cushion and into the wooden wall of the booth at Miller's Ale House in Hanover Township Dec. 28 around 9:50 p.m., PA State Police Trooper Nathan Branosky said. Search Continues For Missing Appalachian Trail Hiker John Dunnam
Police in Pennsylvania on Sunday were still looking for missing hiker John Dunnam. Dunnam, 57, was last seen Tuesday in a section of the Appalachian Trail, PA State Police say. Particularly, Dunnam was near Chimney Rocks between the Deer Lick Shelter and the Rocky Mountain shelters when he was last seen, authorities said. He was wearing a gray shirt, blue hiking pants, carrying a green backpack and two trekking poles, state police said. If seen, call 717-249-2121 or 911.
