State Police: SUV Driver Runs Off Morris Turnpike, Crashes Into Utility Pole
A Sussex County SUV driver veered off the roadway and crashed into a utility pole Wednesday morning, state police said. A Toyota RAV4 was traveling on Morris Turnpike in Hampton Township when the driver ran off the road and hit a pole near Newton Avenue just before 8:35 a.m., NJSP Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. The driver was taken to Newton Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Peele said. The road was shut down for about an hour following the crash, which remained under investigation, authorities said.

State Police: Driver, Passenger Seriously Injured In Morris County Altima Crash
Three people were injured — two of them critically — after their Nissan Altima ran off the road and hit several trees on Route 24 in Morris County Monday night, state police said. The crash occurred on Route 24 westbound near milepost .7 in Hanover Township just after 8:20 p.m., NJSP Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. The Altima veered off the road, traveled down an embankment and crashed into several trees, critically injuring the driver and rear passenger and causing non-life-sustaining injuries for a second passenger, Peele said. State Police: Jackknifed Tractor-Trailer Backs Up Route 80 In Warren County
A tractor-trailer became jackknifed after hitting a guardrail Monday morning, causing a two-hour shutdown on Route 80 eastbound in Warren County, state police said. The truck hit the left guardrail near milepost 12 in Hope Township around 7:40 a.m., NJSP Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. All eastbound lanes were blocked as a result of the crash but had reopened as of 10 a.m., Peele said. No injuries were reported, authorities said.
