'Covered In Blood': Charges Upgraded For Man Who Killed His Mom In Gruesome NJ Attack
Charges have been upgraded for a 44-year-old Central Jersey man whose mother died a week after a gruesome attack, police said. Herbert Roberts, of Plainsboro, is believed to have attacked his 73-year-old mom, Beverly Roberts, of Princeton Junction, the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 18, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. Beverly was flown to Newark University Hospital after she was found covered in blood with severe injuries to her head and eyes, Ciccone said alongside Chief Eamon Blanchard of the Plainsboro Police Department. : Two Children, Two Adults Dead In Linden Slayings
Two children and two adults were killed in what authorities are calling a murder-suicide Sunday, Feb. 19 in Linden. A large police presence was called to Chatham Place around 9:30 a.m., where the one child and two adults were pronounced dead, Linden police said. A juvenile victim was taken to Newark University Hospital in critical condition, police said. He was pronounced dead hours later. No further information was being released.

A 33-year-old Elizabeth man has been charged with reckless vehicular manslaughter in a crash that killed two brothers from Newark last summer in Linden, authorities said. Jose Reyes-Morales was heading north in a 017 BMW 330I northbound on Route 1 when he struck a 2004 Mazda 3, making a U-turn from Interstate 278 at Morses Mill Road around 11:30 p.m., on Jun 15, 2021, Linden Police Chief David Hart said. A 24-year-old Elizabeth woman died and four others were injured in a Linden crash early Sunday morning. Nathalie Badilla-Zavala and a 27-year-old Rahway man were ejected from a 2014 Honda Civic on the northern side of the North Park Avenue bridge between E. Elizabeth Avenue and E. Hours after a Linden police officer was hospitalized in a crash, another officer was seriously injured and two others briefly hospitalized Sunday morning following an assault by an arson suspect.
