An independent laboratory is reporting that it has found a cancer-causing chemical in more batches of shampoo products. Many brands of dry shampoo products -- including some Dove, Nexxus, Suave, TIGI, and TRESemmé products -- had already been recalled by manufacturer Unilever containing the cancer-causing chemical benzene in an announcement made on Tuesday, Oct. 18. NJ Husband Surrenders In Crash That Killed Wife, Passenger In CT: Police
A New Jersey man has been charged in connection with a double-fatal Connecticut crash that killed his wife and another passenger last summer in Connecticut, authorities said. Juan Fernandez, 38, of Union City, surrendered to police on Wednesday, Aug. 17, and was charged with two counts of negligent homicide, among other charges in connection with the crash on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, in Middlesex County, on Route 15 in Woodbridge. 3 Navy Sailors Die By Suicide On Same Ship This Month: Report
Three US Navy sailors stationed on the USS George Washington died by suicide within seven days of each other this month, The Washington Post reports. A fourth also died by suicide in 2021, the outlet says. Xavier Sandor, 19, a Shelton, CT native, was found unresponsive aboard the ship in Newport News on Friday, April 15, The Post says. There's a bird flu outbreak in the United States, but so far only wild ducks have been infected in New Jersey, specifically in Cape May, authorities said. While the outbreak is driving up the price of eggs and chicken nationwide, properly cooked foul is harmless to humans even when it's infected by the flu, agriculture experts say.
