A 25-year-old woman was arrested and charged on Monday, Sept. 9, with abusing a child at a daycare center in Budd Lake for children with autism. Last month, officers said a parent reported to Mount Olive Police Department that their daughter was assaulted while attending Carebot ABA, a daycare facility that offers personalized treatment plans for children on the autism spectrum and other developmental disorders, according to its website. A 44-year-old Mount Olive man was sentenced to three years in prison on Friday, Aug. 16, after he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 16-year-old female employee at the hair salon he owned. A woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash involving a pickup truck in Mount Olive Tuesday morning, authorities said. A truck collided with the sedan on Route 206 near Oakwood Drive South around 7 a.m., a press release said. Police: Smoking Jeep Leads To DWI Charges For Morris County Man, 43
A Morris County man had been drinking when police pulled him over on Route 46 because police noticed his jeep was spewing smoke, authorities said. Marco David, 43, of Flanders was driving slowly down the eastbound side of the highway in a black Jeep Wrangler with his hazard lights on around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Mount Olive police said in a release. After pulling David over, Sgt. Marianne Wurtemberg suspected he may have been intoxicated and had him perform a series of field sobriety tests, police said. David did not pass the tests and was subsequently arrested and served a DWI.

A 34-year-old Flanders man died after being slammed by an SUV Thursday while he was attempting a left turn onto Route 206, authorities said. Frank Iaconio Jr. was trying to turn onto the highway in Flanders when a 56-year-old Flanders man in a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe struck the driver's side of his vehicle, Mount Olive Police Sgt.
