A vehicle apparently landed entirely "up in the air in a tree" after its driver veered off a Morris County road and into the woods Tuesday night, responders said. The accident occurred near Woodland Road and Cold Hill Road in Mendham Township around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, according to the Brookside Engine Company. Crews found the vehicle “into the woods up in the air on a tree” before stabilizing it and securing its battery for removal. Student Filmed At Morris County Bus Stop In ‘Suspicious’ Incident, Police Say
A student waiting at a Morris County bus stop was filmed by a man behind the wheel of a sedan in what police are calling a “suspicious incident.” The student was filmed near the School House Lane-Mount Pleasant Road area in Mendham around 7:50 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, township police said. The suspect vehicle was a silver sedan driven by a man in his 30s or 40s, authorities said. “Please be vigilant at school bus stops and report any suspicious activity immediately,” the Mendham Township Police Department said.

Newborn Abandoned In Morris County Honored With Annual Christmas Eve Service
Police in Morris County are holding an annual graveside service for Baby Mary — a newborn who was found abandoned on Christmas Eve by two boys playing in the woods in the 1980s. Her death remains unsolved. The body of a newborn girl was found by two boys playing near 7 Harmony Lane in Mendham Township on Christmas Eve in 1984, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
