: Mahwah Police Resuscitate Rockland Teen At Ramapo Reservation
A drowning teen from Rockland was resuscitated by Mahwah police after his friends pulled him from a lake in the Ramapo mountains, authorities said. The 17-year-old Spring Valley boy was surrounded by his friends when Mahwah Police Officers Nicholas Williams, Ryan Moore, Connor Gilgen, Luke Rice and Liam Kantanas reached the upper lake at the Ramapo Reservation around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, Capt. UPDATE: The body of a New Milford High School senior was removed from a borough pond hours after what witnesses said was a tragic accident. Clinten Ajit, 18, was apparently doing a good deed when he went into the Hard Castle Pond behind the Dorchester Manor Apartments near the borough athletic fields around 7:15 p.m. Friday, April 22. Blaze Engulfs Iconic Kosher Market, Mahwah Firefighters Assist Rockland Colleagues
Firefighters from Mahwah assisted their Rockland colleagues at the scene of a raging blaze that destroyed an iconic kosher supermarket on Thursday. Motty’s Supermarket on North Main Street in Monsey burst into flames as a Ramapo police officer who saw smoke approached shortly after 12:30 p.m., authorities said.
