Madison PD: Suspected Car Burglar Found With $1K In Cash After Leading Officers On Foot Pursuit
A Newark man accused of burglarizing vehicles in Madison was found with several personal items and a bag with $1,000 in cash after he fled from police on foot, authorities said. Officers responded to Seaman Street after a resident observed their car being burglarized by a man in dark clothing around 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Madison Police said in a release. Police located a man -- later identified as Marvin J. Mixson, 37 -- who had been looking into the windows of nearby vehicles and matched the caller's description, authorities said. Two new drive-in theaters are coming to Bergen County. Beginning June 10, Demarest Farms in Hillsdale will be showing movies every Wednesday through Saturday night. The last showing is Aug. 29. Chatham Driver In Fatal Madison Hit-Run Gets 30 Days In Jail
A Chatham woman charged in the hit-and-run death of a 68-year-old pedestrian in Madison was sentenced to 30 days in the Morris County Correctional Facility once coronavirus lets up. Cheon Lee, 58, was charged with knowingly leaving the scene of the accident in which Pamela Barba was killed late last June. Lee was also sentenced to two years of probation and a mandatory license suspension for one year by Judge Stephen Taylor. A Morris County-based manufacturer is being sued by six women saying the company failed to warn the public of increased cancer risk caused by the breast implants they had. Allergan plc's Biocell brand textured implant is linked to anaplastic large cell lymphoma -- a rare immune system cancer that the women who had them were not warned of, according to the suits filed in Morristown Superior Court. A Madison woman was arrested after filing a false police report claiming she was attacked with a knife by a man in a ski mask, authorities said. Rockaway Man Snuck Photos Of Woman Under Bathroom Stall At Giralda Farms, Police Say
A 24-year-old Rockaway man was arrested for taking photos of a woman under a bathroom stall at Giralda Farms, authorities said. Joan S. Acosta Gacha snuck the photos while the woman was using the restroom at Giralda Farms, the estate of Geraldine Rockefeller Dodge, Madison Police Chief Darren P. Dachisen said. Police did not specify where on the property the incident occurred. Acosta-Gacha was charged with invasion of privacy and released pending an appearance in Morris County Superior Court. He was also served a trespass warning barring him from Giralda Farms.

Madison PD: Elizabeth Man Flashed Genitals To Woman He Was Driving To Work
A 29-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested after exposing his genitals to a woman who he was driving to work, said authorities who charged him. Jose A. Garcia had apparently exposed himself to the woman, who he knew, on "more than one occasion," Madison Police Chief Darren P. Dachison said in a release. Garcia was arrested on Main Street on June 26 on charges of lewdness, police said. He was also served a disorderly persons offense and was released pending a court appearance in Madison Municipal Court.
