Fire From Ignited E-Bikes Engulfs Mahwah Garage, Threatens Home, Robs Precious Memories
Flames from an intense garage fire in Mahwah only grew larger as Ahkeel Townsend emptied an extinguisher on it. Lithium-ion batteries in two electric scooters had ignited on a sweltering day when temperatures under a blazing sun reached 93 degrees. Firefighters contained the two-alarm blaze, although the adjoining house sustained heat and smoke damage. Firefighters nationwide say they are seeing an increasing -- and alarming -- number of fires caused by devices with lithium-ion batteries. Blazes involving the batteries are rarely a slow burn…

'Rotten' Apple Pays NJ $3 Million To Settle iPhone Rip-Off Complaint
New Jersey is getting more than $3 million from Apple as part of a settlement of charges that it hid and lied about a defect with million of iPhones that made customers buy new ones, authorities announced Wednesday. Grewal said. Apple doesn't admit to any violations of the law under the $113 million settlement reached with 34 state…
