Driver Flown To Trauma Center After Serious Hunterdon County Crash
A driver was extricated and flown to a nearby trauma center following a crash in Hunterdon County on Thursday, April 27, authorities said. The Tewksbury First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to the one-vehicle crash on Cokesbury Road shortly in Tewksbury Township after 9:05 p.m. and found the driver trapped inside with serious injuries. Emergency crews used a series of rescue equipment to extricate the driver, who was then flown to a trauma center via Atlantic Air Ambulance. : Firefighter Hospitalized After Battling Hunterdon County High-Elevation Blaze
One firefighter was hospitalized after battling a high-elevation blaze at a Hunterdon County home, authorities said. More than a dozen fire companies provided mutual aid at the blaze, which broke out at a home on Old Mountain Road in Clinton around 1:20 p.m. on April 20, the Township of Clinton Division of Fire said. Seven-hundred feet of large diameter hosing was laid out to reach the fully involved fire, which was set back far off the road on steep terrain, authorities said. Authorities ID Man Who Died In Hunterdon County Apartment Fire
Authorities have identified Sunday's victim of a Hunterdon County fire at a housing complex for disabled residents. Thomas A. Mahoney, 62, was found with serious burns inside his apartment at The Meadows at Oldwick, around 6:40 a.m., Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams said in a joint release with local police. The blaze broke out in the kitchen of Mahoney's unit at the independent living facility, authorities said.
