Support is on the rise for a North Jersey family left heartbroken after the death of their 10-year-old daughter.
Emily Lenora Fleming died at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on Thursday, June 23, her obituary says.
Emily had just finished fourth grade at the Florence M. Burd Elementary School in Andover, where she played the flute and was a dedicated safety patrol member, according to her memorial.
She also loved participating in Troop #98136 of the Girl Scouts, playing soccer, flamingos, crocheting, and camping.

Loving friend, son, and devoted uncle Daniel Robert Sargent Frederick died unexpectedly at his childhood home in Lake Hopatcong on Saturday, May 21. He was 31.
A Lake Hopatcong native, Daniel attended Jefferson Township High School and worked as a driver at the Sunrise House Treatment Center in Lafayette, his social media page says.
Daniel had several passions in life, including music, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities, according to his obituary.
He was also known for his one-of-a-kind quirks — such as loving window air conditioners, traffic lights, and Barney the dinosaur.

Firefighters put out a fire that broke out at a two-story Sussex County home over the weekend.
The blaze was reported at 3409 Rt. 94 in Hardyston Township just after 4 p.m. Saturday, the township volunteer fire department said on Facebook.
Crew members placed hand lines in operation after ensuring that all occupants had safely exited the home, authorities said.
The fire was placed under control about an hour later, and no injuries were reported, authorities said.

ATV Driver, Passenger Airlifted With Serious Injuries In Sussex County Crash
The driver and passenger of an ATV were airlifted with serious injuries after crashing into an embankment in Sussex County over the weekend, state police said.
Thomas Bedell Jr., 49, was driving a Tracker Off Road ATV at a home on Beaver Run Road in Lafeyette when the vehicle hit an embankment and a rock shortly before 4:45 p.m., Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice.
Both Bedell, Jr., of Lafayette and the passenger, Carol Keizer, 45, of Butler, were ejected from the ATV and airlifted to Morristown Medical Center with serious injuries, Goez said.
