A motorcyclist was rushed to a trauma center following a high-speed crash on Route 80 in Warren County, responders said. The motorcyclist veered off the left side of the eastbound lanes near milepost 5.6, “traveled on the soft dirt shoulder for some distance before tipping over onto the operator, sliding quite a distance before coming to rest in the roadway,” according to the Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Co., which responded around 2:40 p.m. Sunday, June 25. 150 Gallons Of Fuel Spilled Onto Route 80 After Crash That Jammed PA, NJ Border For Hours
Route 80 was jammed for hours after a truck carrying hazardous materials crashed, authorities said. This crash occurred at mile marker 1.2 on Route 80 eastbound in Hardwick Township at about 8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23. No hazardous material leaked from the jackknifed tractor-trailer, but there was a 150-gallon diesel fuel spill, Knowlton firefighters said. No one was hurt. Child, Teen Airlifted With Serious Injuries After Warren County Dirt Bike Crash
A child and a teen were airlifted with serious injuries after their dirt bikes crashed and overturned in Warren County Saturday afternoon, state police said. A 16-year-old was riding a Yamaha and a 9-year-old was riding a Cobra north on a property on Meadow Ridge Road in Knowlton Township when they collided just after 4:50 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Fiery Tractor-Trailer Crash Hospitalizes Driver, Closes Rt. 80 Near Warren County State Forest
A fiery tractor-trailer crash shut down Route 80 westbound near the parking area of a state forest in Warren County Thursday morning, authorities said. The tractor-trailer ran off the right side of the highway and across the ramp to Dunnfield Creek in Hardwick Township before hitting several trees and catching fire, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told Daily Voice. The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Marchan said.
