Passenger, 22, Killed In Route 80 Crash: Njsp
A 22-year-old Union City man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Route 80 early Saturday, Jan. 18, authorities said.
A Honda driven by a 22-year-old Belleville man was heading west when it veered off the road and struck a tree in Knowlton near milepost 6.2 around 3:05 a.m., according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan.
The driver sustained minor injuries in the crash, while one passenger, a 19-year-old Passaic man, suffered moderate injuries. A second passenger, age 22, of Union City, died of his injuries, Marchan said. The victim's name was not released.

Off-Duty Trooper Was First To Arrive At Sussex County Blaze That Killed 2 Pets: Officials
Two pets died in a Sussex County house fire in which an off-duty trooper and firefighter was the first to respond, officials said.
Reports of a fire came from a neighbor on on Saddleback Road in Stillwater around 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22, fire officials said.
"A nearby trooper who is also a firefighter arrived on scene and reported a working fire," the Stillwater Area Volunteer Fire Company said on Facebook.
Firefighters from Stillwater, Hampton, Fredon, Andover, Blairstown, Byram, Green, and Branchville responded, with Knowlton on standby.

A 19-year-old woman was killed and two others were hurt after a deer caused a crash on Route 94 in Sussex County Sunday night, state police said.
Jesse Manno, 33, of Branchville, was driving a Jeep Wrangler on Route 94 southbound when he hit a deer and veered into the northbound lanes near milepost 15.1 in Fredon just after 10:25 p.m., NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told DailyVoice.com.
