NJ's Aaron Rodgers, Possible VP Pick, Denies Spouting Sandy Hook Conspiracy Theories Aaron Rodgers, who lives in Essex County, is denying a CNN report that he believed the children killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre were actors. In a statement on X, Rodgers said the CNN story was not true. "I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place," Rodgers said.  "I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life.
