Phillipsburg High's First Male Cheerleader Jairus Asne Dies, 21 A natural leader with a kind spirit. This is how Jairus Dominic Dalagan Asne of Greenwich Township is being remembered. Affectionately known as "Jai," the 21-year-old passed away at home on Nov. 4. More than $600 had been raised for his funeral expenses on a GoFundMe as of Nov. 18. Jai moved to New Jersey from the Philippines with his family in 2006, his obituary says. He was an active member of the  Phillipsburg High School Dance Team in 2013-14, and was the first male cheerleader at the school in 2014-15.
