Tristan Lozada, an 8-year-old Sparta resident died after battling brain cancer on Monday, Oct. 28, according to his obituary from the Shook Funeral Home website.
Tristan had moved to Sparta from Newark and enjoyed dancing, Halloween, and playing Roblox on his iPad, his obituary reads. He is survived by his parents, James and Monica, his brother James and his grandparents Mercede, Luzmila and Victor, according to his obituary.

New Jersey Teen Dies Christmas Eve Months After Bone Cancer Diagnosis
Michael Januario, a 13-year-old boy from Newark, died months after being diagnosed with bone cancer, his family says.
"Michael was an energetic, smart and amazing young man whose life was turned upside down this past summer," reads a GoFundMe launched for the family.
He died at home on Christmas Eve, his obituary says.
Michael was a student at McKinley Elementary School and enjoyed "riding his bike, and was always ready to play games," the obituary continues.

James Gelcius Of Kearny Dies, 26
James Gelcius of Kearny died on Sunday, June 19. He was 26 years old.
James grew up and lived in Kearny, and was passionate about fishing, riding his ATV, video games and listening to music, his obituary says.
Services were held June 26 with interment at oly Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
James was predeceased by his father, Richard A. Gelcius, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Lynch, and, one sister, Jennifer Lynch (Angel Rodriguez).

Christopher Correia, 19, Of Kearny, Athlete Who Was Studying Sports Medicine
Christopher Pastilha Correia died Friday. He was 19 years old.
Born in Hackensack, he lived his entire life in Kearny. A bodybuilder as well as a standout football player who also enjoyed soccer, he graduated from Kearny High School in 2017 and was studying sports medicine at Bergen Community College. He planned to become a physical therapist.
He is survived by his parents, Fernando and Julia (nee Pastilha) Correia; brother Jason Correia, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
