High Winds Knock Tree Onto Car In Upper Saddle River, Trap Female Driver From NYS
A 45-year-old driver from New York escaped serious injury when Monday's high winds knocked a tree onto her sedan near the state line in Upper Saddle River. Firefighters from Upper Saddle River and Mahwah freed the alert trapped motorist from the 2023 Toyota Corolla following the 2:10 p.m. March 11 crash on Weiss Road at Maple Road, Police Capt. A Garfield man was hospitalized after being stabbed with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute at his home, authorities confirmed. Officers responding to the Westminster Place residence shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, found the victim with a one-inch wound on the left side of his ribs, Garfield Police Capt. Mario X. Pedestrian, 77, Struck In Englewood By 84-Year-Old SUV Driver Sustains Head Injury
A 77-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized with a severe head injury after she was struck by an SUV driven by an 84-year-old motorist in Englewood late Tuesday afternoon. Officers Adolfo Gutierrez and Dona Nidelko began rendering aid to the victim, who was struck just before 5 p.m. at West Palisade Avenue and Cottage Place, Deputy Police Chief Gregory Halstead said. They were relieved by EMS personnel, who took her to Hackensack Medical Center, the deputy chief said. The SUV driver remained at the scene and wasn’t charged – although Halstead noted that the investigation was continuing.
