Massive Route 1&9 Tanker Fire Severely Burns Trucker, Guts Home
A trucker was badly burned when his tanker burst into flames after it was struck by another vehicle Friday night at a gas station off Route 1&9 in Elizabeth, responders said. Massive flames from the fully-involved truck fire at the BP station near Bayway Circle spread to and gutted a nearby two-family home on South Elmora Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Nine people -- three of them children -- reportedly were displaced. : Car Carrier Splits, Topples Across Route 287, Dump Truck Rolls On Opposite Side
A car carrier and a dump truck both toppled over on Route 287 in Oakland around noontime Friday, closing several lanes and causing major delays well into the afternoon. Five heavy-duty wreckers were called to clear the roadway after the northbound rig hauling SUVs tipped over the divider. The carrier split in two, with one section landing on its side against the divider, dumping one of the SUVs on the other side of the median. Septic Tank Truck Tips On Route 80 Exit
A driver emerged without serious injury after an empty septic tanker tipped over Friday on a Route 80 exit ramp in Paterson. A hazardous materials unit was summoned for a large fuel spill after the 9:30 a.m. mishap at Exit 60 on the highway's eastbound side. The exit was closed while heavy-duty wreckers from Tumino's Towing righted the rig.

One Person Seriously Injured In I-80 Morris County Crash
One person escaped a multi-vehicle crash on I-80 in Rockaway Township with serious injuries Wednesday morning, authorities said. New Jersey State Police responded to the accident on eastbound side of the highway near the Rockaway Townsquare Mall around 7:20 a.m., just west of Exit 35. The Hazardous Materials Response Unit also responded for a fuel spill, police say. The highway was reopened in time for rush hour.

Jackknifed Trailer Spills Fuel Across Route 80 In Allamuchy
Delays were reported Wednesday night due to a jackknifed trailer on the eastbound side of Route 80 in Allamuchy. Fuel spilled across the highway in the 7:55 p.m. crash, near Exit 19. Delays of 10 minutes were being reported, with traffic getting by in the right lane only.

ONE: Car Pinned Under Jackknifed Trailer Shuts Route 80 In Parsippany
A jackknifed tractor-trailer on Route 80 closed a portion of the highway for a second time on Tuesday. A photo showed a white sedan pinned under the truck on the eastbound side near Exit 42 in Parsippany. Delays between and 20 minutes were reported as of 5:30 p.m. Another jackknifed trailer spilled fuel across the westbound side of the highway around 6:50 a.m., closing lanes for several hours. Another Hellish Commute After Trucks Collide On Route 80 E. In Parsippany
Traffic crawled along the eastbound side of Route 80 late Tuesday morning -- hours after a two-truck crash that spilled fuel and debris across the highway in Parsippany. The four-lane highway was down to two near Exit 42 as of noon as crews worked to clear the scene, the NJDOT said. Two trucks collided around 4:30 a.m., drivers said. Another Route 80 Delay: Overturned Tractor Trailer Shuts Eastbound Highway In Roxbury
Route 80 was backed up Friday morning after a tractor trailer overturned spilling fuel across the highway. All lanes were closed near Exit 34 - NJ 15 as of 10:30 a.m., according to 511nj.org. SUVs, Sedan Involved In Chain-Reaction Fair Lawn Crash After Driver Has Diabetic Emergency
Two SUVs and a sedan were involved in a chain-reaction crash Friday afternoon in Fair Lawn after one of the drivers apparently had a diabetic episode, police said. Both ALS and BLS units responded to the crash just after 4 p.m. in front of the iHop on westbound Broadway. The extent of injuries wasn't immediately known.
