Firefighters Battle Frelinghuysen Chimney Fire Firefighters in Frelinghuysen Township battled a chimney fire that saw heavy smoke billowing on Monday evening, Jan. 22, the Allamuchy Fire Department said on Facebook and shared in a photo. At 9:20 p.m. the fire department responded to Heller Road in Frelinghuysen for fire. Firefighters requested mutual aid upon arrival after finding a working chimney fire that had spread to the attic, firefighters said.  Firefighters spent two hours on scene before clearing the area at 11:30 p.m., firefighters said. There were no reports of any injuries.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene on Stillwater Road in Frelinghuysen Township after receiving the report around 5 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told Daily Voice. The woman was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of a head injury, Curry said.
